The KSI 1000 inverter power source combines modern technology with over 90 years of experience in submerged arc welding (SAW) at Kjellberg Finsterwalde. Delivering up to 1,000 A of welding current at a 100% duty cycle, it provides reliable continuous operation – even when welding long seams.
For applications requiring higher welding currents, two KSI 1000 units can be connected in parallel using Plug & Play. This provides welding currents of up to 2,000 A.
With an efficiency of 90% and reduced switching losses, the KSI 1000 operates efficiently and exceeds the requirements of the EU Ecodesign Directive. Its robust construction makes it suitable for demanding industrial environments. Swivel and fixed castors make it easier to move the unit, while intuitive controls simplify day-to-day operation.
Combined with the proven SA welding tractors of the KA series, the KSI 1000 offers flexible application options – from automated submerged arc welding to semi-mechanised welding operations. It can also be used as a power source for robotic submerged arc welding. This allows different welding tasks to be carried out using system components configured to work together.
